Day 85, Jul 02, 2011

Sequel book:

Unfolding the napkin expands from the ideas that it's prequel 'Back of the Napkin' introduced - and since I really enjoyed reading back of the napkin, I did not hesitate buying this book when I saw it.

I expect to learn new ideas - or at the very least, reinforce one's I've learned earlier. But what is really nice about this is the idea that most communications and problem solving of complex issues or problems can be simplified with a model for illustrating.

Think of this as the Swiss army knife of communicating by drawing, and you get a glimpse of what is being discussed in these pages. By the way, the Swiss army knife analogy is used by the author - Dan Roam. No - one need not be a full blown artist to get the drawings done... as Dan points out with his book cover, even stick figures will do, so anyone can practive with this model.
