Day 104, Jul 21, 2011

Chocolate Fire!

Its a chocolate focused restaurant wherein the main focus would be all the possible chocolates one could try - the difference? Well, they place chocolate in almost every type of dish... from the usual, to the unusual. Welcome to Chocolate Fire people... hope your taste buds enjoy the experience.

I've heard a lot about this from Barbie, and honestly speaking, we had no plans of going here - but, when I chanced upon fetching her in Makati (due to a dinner she had with some visiting foreign colleagues), I reminded her that since we were already in Makati, trying to brave the traffic in Salcedo village, I suggested we seek out this place... satisfy my curiosity as to where it was. Well, we did find it (after the second pass) and decided to park and try things out.

Chocolate Fire was a novel place - though don't expect a menu full of food... although they do have a few items, the place came across as more an after meals hang out area... where one can naturally try their different chocolate-dipped menu items. And just to prove a point, here we see Barbie getting ready to chew on a pringle potato chip - ans as the picture shows, half the chip is dipped in chocolate - then placed in a cold storage, to harden the chocolate.

Yeah, sometimes, these impromptu trips do turn out to be more enjoyable - and I can only guess that this is due to the fact that since it is impromptu - there are hardly any expectations to meet (or crush - I know... how Machiavellian a thought, right?).
