Day 108, Jul 25, 2011

Salad:

This type of thing is getting to be a staple for me whenever possible - either I take it for lunch or dinner (preferably the latter, as it allows me to have a light dinner before sleeping), and I shouldn't be complaining, after all, it is a healthy meal.

Thing is, it can be a bit costly - not to mention slightly monotonous, if I get to do this on a daily basis. SO I try to see if I can somehow put variety into these meals - maybe a different flavored dressing, like fruit flavored vinegrette (mango, raspberry and the likes), or just plain olive oil and some sparse vinegrette (not the fruity flavored ones) while adding some goat cheese. Yes, I try to change cheese too... edam, parmessan, chedar... the works. On another note, I will try to start taking oat meals in the evening too. You see, even when I somehow take less rice than before (specially at night) I still have not noticed any weight loss - not that I really am consciously pursuing this, but I thought if I'd eat less rice, Id get some kind of dramatic shrinkage. Ah well... guess its back to doing exercises, huh?
