For brand conscious people, the brand name that is Sennheiser may not be a totally unheard of in the audio industry - granted that its not as recognizable as Bose, but quality-wise, its not that far either... an amazing trait when you consider the price difference between the two companies products.
I actually got this with the hope that I have a quality headphone for my iPod, as a replacement to the Skull Candy ones I bought a few months ago. That did not last too long, though I can't really say that it was from having an inferior product as opposed to having my kids possibly not care for it as they should.
So why Sennhieser? Two things really... the first was an article about the different headphones on the market - a comparative study, of sorts. The article concluded and recommended that Sennheiser was the best of the bunch, quality/price wise... so this made me take a mental note. Second, when John (a friend) noticed I was looking at some fancy headphones, he commented that Sennheisers are better - and come out cheaper than some of the headphones I was looking at. Well... with two independent inputs, I knew I had to get a Sennheiser.
So now that I have one, how do I feel about it? Its good... and the downside is I now know if my music is a quality copy, or I might have a better chance of getting such quality items as a download from iTunes. Simply put, poor audio quality can't hide.
