Its been a long wait, but finally A Dance with Dragons - the 5th book from George R. R. Martin, has finally been released.
I did not bother to wait for the trade paperback because I want to know what happened ever since I read the last book - and boy, has it been a while.
The book also comes in good time as the first book has been adapted for an HBO series - and hopefully, this continues on to adapting the other books as well... including this one.
Now to sort of complement - yet contrast this purely fantasy epic, I also got Steven Hawking's latest book... one where he promises to put forth the fact that the Universe was self created (as opposed to having a creator start it all) - controversial? Maybe just on the reactionary side - and after the initial noise, the seeming disident voices just died down. After all, how can they propose to crucify an invalid? I guess the religious also learned form all the noise-making done in another book - thus turning it into a best-seller.
But all those controversies aside, I was curious to how Hawkings explained things. hence my getting this.
