Day 136, Aug 22, 2011

Leaders' Window - day 1:

Its a two-day course on leadership style discovery, plus some vital knowledge in being able to keep things - and its a course that I've been conducting for the better part of five year (maybe more).

This particular run is in McKinley, and it allows me to co-facilitate with Alain. Lucky for us that it is McKinley because the class size is rather large.

Continuing my series of Facilitators in action, the spotlight now falls on my most recent partner - as I said in my previous entry, Alain.

Of the facilitators I've shared training with in the old PrimaryEdge days, Alain was one person I was not able to get to work with on a regular basis - and I sort of wonder why that did not happen more frequently. I mean, I've had my fair share of training with Mon or Jingo - but Alain was always being partnered with someone else... or I was starting to train in the technical field - hence not really, intersecting Alain's sphere of influence.

As a facilitator, Alain can hold his own with anyone - he uses his wit to supplement his knowledge - and for someone who's conducting the course for possible just his second time, I have to say that he carries himself well. No one in the room would have guessed that he's relatively new in facilitating Leaders' Window. There also seems to be another side effect of our partnership... one that I find useful, so long as it doesn't get abused - we're both fast facilitators... you could chalk it up to our direct to the point manner of teaching... but definitely not due to our making shortcuts. Nope... rather, we've mastered enough of the course to streamline it - without sacrificing any topic.
