Strong Rain:
The first of August happens to be the first day I did not have to go to any Accenture project - having been rolled-off yesterday evening, I was technically free and in between assignments. As luck would have it, the second day saw a very strong rain (courtesy of a tropical depression) blanketing the Metro.
Lucky because, Unilever Philippines is known to be a flood-vulnerable location (I should know because I did feel this first hand once - and had to wait for the flood waters to subside before finally leaving at around 11pm).
I also convinced Barbie that with such a torrent, bringing her to ParaƱaque would likewise be flood-risky, and a quick call to her boss, explaining the situation (it was likewise starting to flood in our surroundings) allowed her ot just 'work at home'.
So this is us in Greenhills, enjoying breakfast and coffee at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, while the rain was pouring itself continuously. At least we were dry and we still got to do some of our respective Internet stuff courtesy of the place's WiFi connection. Though I worried at times how I might need to leave the silver car in Greenhills and get the black one out of Bacood lest it gets damaged by floods, thankfully, this did not prove a necessity, as the rains - though strong, were not continuously strong in its downpour. This day allowed me to not only relax, but it also allowed me to spend quality time with Barbie. So I'm definitely not complaining.
This picture shows the window of Coffee Bean... and how the outside is almost invisible due to the rain's heavy downpour.
