Lechon night:
Definitely the highlight of this day happens to be dinner that we've planned a few days ago.
It innocently started with a Facebook post by Carlos about how he enjoyed eating lechon (roasted pig), and I then commented that he should bring some for me to taste as well... well Carlos then replies stating that we should make arrangements for dinner and he'd willingly bring lechon .
You need not tell me twice - I then proceeded to contact Fred and Gerry via FB as well, asking them when they would want to have the lechon get together - Saturday was selected and we all made plans for this. I spent the afternoon getting stuff from the grocery (like ice) and even chilled a few wine bottles.
When dinner was finally served, we barely had side conversations aside from helping Carlos decide which lechon was the better tasting one (he brought two different brands - both from Cebu). We were so engrossed with the lechon that we hardly touched the KFC which I ordered, in case the lechon wasn't enough (turns out it was) that we forgot about the wine... ah well, goes to show it was really the lechon we wanted - any alcohol would just be supportive, but not necessary.
We definitely should do this again.
