Day 179, Oct 04, 2011

Simple Elegance:

The Figaro cup - taken on a clear table... with nary a background, aside from the dull white walls and just a hint of the cup's reflection on the table's surface, and I would have to admit that the picture's simplicity leads to its elegance.

I mean, lets face it... this could be an endorsement - and the plain and simple look makes the focus become the cup... not the background (as it hardly stands out), thus giving the cup one's undivided attention. Advertisement, anyone? After all, most professional pictures I've seen show hardly any background.

If you want more information about the cup - yes its a 16 oz cup (more like a mug, huh?) full (or at least, filled) with coffee... and it - that is, the cup, happens to be the main focus. Taking this kind of picture is practice for trying to take elegant shots.
