I've been practicing close ups while making sure I start feeling comfortable with cropped heads - moving away from the Photographer's notion of getting the entire head - as opposed to focusing on the face (who needs the entire head?)
Yeah... sometimes it looks terrible - but in other occasions it does look striking, and I would like to think that this particular picture of Bryce comes across as my wanting to maximize the picture's capability to display a subject, by focusing on one aspect only (in this case, the face) and zoom in close. I must say that it looks different - in a good way, but then again, I'm biased.
